Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (Terms) govern your use of Milk & Moon (the App). By creating an account, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you do not meet these requirements, do not use the App.
2. Account and Security
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Your profile details may include items such as nickname, country, date of birth, timezone, and child details you choose to add.
- To complete onboarding and access the full App experience, you must submit a live camera verification selfie in the final onboarding step.
- Verification selfie data is private, is not visible in-app to other users or to your own client account, and is used only for moderator verification and safety/rule enforcement purposes.
3. Community Rules and Prohibited Conduct
Milk & Moon is a supportive community. You agree not to post, send, or engage in content or behavior that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, inflammatory, deceptive, or spammy, or that encourages self-harm or harm to others.
- No harassment, shaming, or targeted abuse.
- No impersonation, fraud, or attempts to collect sensitive personal information.
- No posting medical instructions as professional medical advice.
- No attempts to disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or exploit the App.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as room messages, thread replies, direct messages, reactions, support gift interactions, and optional profile media including profile photos and photo wall images). You grant Milk & Moon a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, and display that content as needed to operate, improve, secure, and moderate the App.
You are solely responsible for your content and represent that you have all rights needed to post it.
If you upload profile photos or photo wall images, you represent that you have the right to share that media and understand it may be visible to other users on public profile surfaces in the App.
5. Moderation and Enforcement
We may investigate reports and may remove content, limit features, suspend, or terminate accounts at any time, with or without notice, when we believe it is necessary for safety, rule enforcement, security, legal compliance, or Service integrity.
This includes the right to remove or disable profile media (including photo wall images) that we believe violates these Terms, community rules, legal requirements, or safety standards.
To operate and moderate the Service, authorized admins may access user content and metadata, including direct messages (pen pal letters) and verification selfie data, through trusted internal operational tooling.
If your account is banned or restricted for rule violations, abuse, fraud, or safety reasons, we reserve the right (to the extent permitted by law) to revoke access to Moonlight Mom Product and revoke related digital gift purchases/entitlements.
6. Purchases, Digital Gifts, and Moonlight Mom Product
- Digital gifts are licensed, not sold, and have no cash value.
- Moonlight Mom Product is a one-time digital unlock (non-subscription) that may include features such as a supporter badge, ad-free Home experience, profile media tools (including photo wall), and bundled gift inventory.
- Moonlight Mom Product and other digital features are account-bound, non-transferable, and may require server verification/sync of store transaction data before activation or restoration.
- Any bundled gift allocation from Moonlight Mom Product is granted once per eligible verified purchase and is not redeemable for cash.
- Purchases are processed by Apple and related payment infrastructure providers.
- Billing, taxes, refunds, and cancellations are governed by Apple's terms and applicable law.
- Except where required by law, digital purchases are final and non-transferable.
- If an account is banned or restricted, we may revoke Moonlight Mom Product access and related digital gift purchase entitlements, to the extent permitted by law.
- We may deny, delay, or reverse in-app entitlement activation when transaction verification fails, is unavailable, or indicates fraud/abuse.
7. Location and Notifications
If enabled by you, the App may use approximate location sharing and push notifications. You can disable these features in your device or app settings.
8. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with third-party providers (for example, authentication, hosting, purchase, entitlement verification/sync, and notification providers). We are not responsible for third-party services, products, or policies.
9. Medical and Emergency Disclaimer
The App is for peer support only and does not provide medical, mental health, or emergency services. Do not rely on the App for diagnosis, treatment, or crisis response. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided as-is and as-available without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Milk & Moon and its operators, owners, affiliates, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill.
Milk & Moon is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or conduct of any user of the App.
Without limiting the foregoing, Milk & Moon is not liable for any missing, deleted, corrupted, unavailable, or unrecoverable data or user content.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Milk & Moon and its operators, owners, affiliates, employees, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Dispute Resolution; Class Action Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access at any time for any reason permitted by law, including rule violations, safety concerns, or misuse. We may also cease operating the App (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice.
You may also request account deletion in-app from Profile > Account. After confirmation, access is revoked immediately and a deferred cleanup process runs after a 7-day pending-deletion window. Cleanup applies to data in Milk & Moon systems; external provider records (for example Apple, Google, or RevenueCat billing records) may remain subject to provider terms and retention rules.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms become effective when posted unless a later date is stated. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
